Who Should Apply?
Are you interested in a career in the electrical construction industry? Do you think you have the aptitude and skills necessary to complete a rigorous 5-year apprenticeship program? If you meet the following requirements, you could be on your way to a rewarding career.
Eligibility Requirements

Must be 18 years of age

Be a high school graduate or have a GED

Must be physically capable of performing the work of the trade with or without reasonable accommodation

Proof of completing at least two semesters of Algebra

Have a valid Michigan's driver’s license
-
Be a legal resident of IBEW Local Union 906 jurisdiction
Application Requirements
There is a $25 non-refundable application fee at time of submittal. Please make checks or money orders payable to 906 JATC. Cash will NOT be accepted.
Although there is a $25 application fee, if you feel that you cannot afford the fee, you may apply to have this fee waived. To have the fee waived you must submit a letter to the JATC, attention director, stating your reasons. Any documentation will be helpful and may be requested.
All applicants must submit an official high school transcript or GED test scores and certification. All documents must be provided at the time of application submittal. No exceptions can be made.
